Obituary of George Edgar Lambert

George Edgar Lambert, age 89, of Bland, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018. He was the son Stephen and Della Harden Lambert and a member of Ceres Ministries Center. George was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Josie Hubble Lambert. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Lambert of Bland, Wayne & Mary Glynn Lambert of Ceres, Tony & Karlene “Karcie” Lambert of Wytheville; special friend, Diane Bralley of Max Meadows; grandchildren, Gene Lambert, Scott Lambert, Michael Lambert, Jody Lambert, Joanie Lambert, Brittany Britt; six great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild also survive.

Funeral service will be held 7 P.M. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Pastor Sammy Shupe. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 P.M. until service time. A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Hounshell Cemetery.
