Obituary of Freda Turley Rider

Freda Turley Rider, age 94, of Wytheville, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John & Ada Kitts Turley and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Rider. Freda was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for over 70 years and is survived by her, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda & Allen Stover, of Wytheville; nephew, David & Delores Craig and their family of Wytheville; niece, Marla & Chet Jordan and their family of Lumberton, NC; grandchildren and spouses, Bill & Cyndi Harmon of Chapel Hill, NC, Bob & Trish Harmon of Gainesville, NC, Cherri Harmon of Lewisburg, NC, Susan Williamson of Wake Forest NC; 9 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren also survive Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church conducted by The Reverend Rae Mullins & The Reverend Ted Anders with interment to follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday April 26, 2016 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the St. Paul Susanna Wesley Circle, 330 Church St, Wytheville, VA 24382, or a charity of their choice. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
