Obituary of Peggy Adkins Copenhaver

Peggy Joan Adkins Copenhaver, age 87, passed away at her home, Saturday, June 23, 2018. She was daughter of the late Robert “Bob” and Alma Matney Adkins and was a member of the Crockett Tabernacle Church. She was employee at Leggett’s Dept. Store and a former manager at Wilderness Road/TA Truck Stop. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Paul Radar Copenhaver; a sister and brother-in-law Barbara & Randolph Kincer; sister-in law & brother-in-law, Helen Copenhaver & Kellerman “Kell” Wilson; brothers-in-law & sister-in-law, Odell, Carl Lee “Zeke”, Arnold & Luella Copenhaver, Randolph Cregger. She is survived by her children & spouses, Joey Copenhaver, Robbie & Daronda Copenhaver, Becky & Loyd Kincer all of Wytheville; granddaughters,”The lights of her life”Sierra Kincer, Nevada Kincer both of Wytheville; sister & spouse, Virginia Lee & Joe Martin of Richmond; sisters-in-law & spouses, Betty & Woody Johnson of Fries, Shirley Cregger of Crocket, Joyce & Walt Jennings of Salem; brother-in-law & Spouse, Jerry & Joyce Copenhaver of Aberdeen, MD; pet companion,“Stumpy” aka “Grumpy Stumpy”, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held 7 PM, Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by The Reverend Richard Collins. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until service time.
