Obituary of Wilma Winesett Elliott

Wilma Winesett Elliott, age 95, of Wytheville, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. She was the daughter of the late Paul Lemuel Winesett and Vera Davis Winesett. She was a long time member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Wytheville, VA. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband William Jefferson Elliott, III and her brother, Robert Davis Winesett and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Jefferson Elliott, IV & Martha Pillis Rowe of Waynesboro, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Delia Elliott Carter & Don Randall Carter of Abingdon; grandchildren, William Jefferson Elliott, V, Ryan Hunter Elliott, Brittany Scott Carter, Don Randall Carter, Jr.; grand stepsons, Jeremy Rowe, Jason Rowe, Steven Rowe; niece, Scottie Elliott Dickenson; nephew, Robert Winesett, Jr.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church conducted by The Reverend Lon Tobin. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at St. Paul United Methodist Church from 10:00 A.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 330 Church St., Wytheville, VA 24382.
