Obituary of Iris Bralley Manuel
Iris Bralley Manuel, age 92, of Wytheville, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018. She was born in Cripple Creek, VA the daughter of the late George Grover & Mary Charlotte (Mollie) Spraker Bralley.
She was the last surviving child and was preceded in death by her husband James D. “June” Manuel Sr., daughter Dawn A. Smith and 11 brothers & sisters.
Iris was a long time member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, she retired from Suburban Propane, and formerly worked as secretary/bookkeeper at Peterson Ford and secretary for the 4th Division of Virginia State Police.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Nancy Manuel; 3 grandchildren, Keith Manuel and Kristin, Jordan Hall and Katie, Kelci Smith; 4 great grandchildren, Kasey, Kylee, Kalinn Manuel, and Kendall Hall.
Funeral service will be held 7 P.M. Monday July 2, 2018 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Lon Tobin. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 P.M. until service time. A graveside service will be held 2 P.M Tuesday July 3, 2018 at West End Cemetery. In lieu of flowers & food the request donations to be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Son Light service or Hand Bell Choir, 330 Church Street, Wytheville, VA 24382.
