Obituary of Judy Francis Wood

Judy Francis Wood age 76, of Rural Retreat, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Grayson Nursing & Rehab. She was the daughter of the late Sam & Faye Francis. Judy was a member of the Wytheville Presbyterian Church and was a Medical Lab Technologist and held position at Southwestern State Hospital in Marion, VA,  St. Luke’s Hospital in Bluefield and Wythe Medical Associates in Wytheville. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry C. Wood; sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgia Lee & Russell Wright, Janet & Earl C. Faulkner and Nancy Wright. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Lisa & Gary Vaught, Heather Wood both of Rural Retreat; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Sean & Dara Wood of Wytheville; grandchildren, Dallas Vaught, Aaron Vaught, Daron Vaught, Shaunna Wood Antrikin, Seth Dunford, Josh Dunford, Charles Wood; great grandchild, Ezreal Dunford; brother-in-law, Homer (Ding) Wright of Bland.

A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at West End Cemetery conducted by The Reverend Ted Anders. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the home of her daughter Lisa Vaught, 162 Sunset View Rd. Rural Retreat, VA 24368.
