Obituary of Gloria Smith Wessinger

Gloria Smith Wessinger, age 87, of Wytheville, passed away Sunday November 4, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Heyward & Naomi Quattlebaum Smith, and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Carroll Leroy Wessinger and brother, Norman H. Smith. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Melisa Caddell Wessinger of Bakersville, NC; daughter and son-law, Beth & Keith Cochran of Wytheville; grandchildren, Ben Wessinger, Ana Jewel Wessinger both of Bakersville, NC, Jesse Cochran, Bryan Cochran both of Wytheville; special caregivers, Bob Stoots of Wytheville, Mary Sparks of Ivanhoe, Missy Porter of Ivanhoe, Linda Carter of Wytheville.

Funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday November 10, 2018 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Colleen Montgomery with interment to follow in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until service time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Agape Food Pantry, 405 W. Main St. Wytheville VA 24382.
