Obituary of Elmo Davis

Elmo Davis, age 83, of Wytheville, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019. He was the son of the late Roy C. and Nellie Bell Davis. Elmo was preceded in death by his son, Butch Davis; daughter, Teresa Davis; brothers, Roy Davis, Rufus Davis, Roger Davis, Curtis Davis, Earl Wood Davis; sister, Betty Hickson. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Grace Davis of Wytheville; daughters, Cherry Davis Guerrero of Wytheville; Lisa Ann and Eddie McDowell of Mt. Airy; son and companion, Michael Davis and Jeannie Spencer of Wytheville; special grandson, Jeffery McPeak of TN; brothers, Kenneth Davis, Billy Joe Davis of Wytheville; four grandchildren, Bill “Will” Smith of Atlanta, GA; Ashley Davis of Emporia, KS; Dallas Guerrero of TX; Jessica Davis of Wytheville and several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by The Reverend Ted Anders and Reverend Ronnie Umberger, with interment to follow at Mt. View Cemetery, Wytheville, VA. The family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home Monday, May 13, 2019 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
