Obituary of David Pierce Anderson, Sr.

David Pierce Anderson, Sr., age 92, of Wytheville, passed away Monday, June 03, 2019. He was the son of the late Samuel Rush & Carrie Maude Halsey Anderson and was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Jean Pugh Anderson.  David was a United States Navy WW II Veteran. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David Anderson, Jr. of Wytheville, Larry & Lisa Anderson of Wytheville, Mike & Joy Anderson of Fredericksburg; sister and brother-in-law, Maude & Ted Callahan of Bristol, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby & Bobbie Kay Anderson of Salem Va, grandchildren & spouses, D’Lynn & Casey Jones of Max Meadows, Jenna & Seth Snider of Fredericksburg , Kevin & Aniska Anderson of Fredericksburg, Taylor Holt of Fredericksburg, Chelsey Anderson of Wytheville; great grandchildren,Logan Jones, Rylen Crockett, Carson Anderson, D.J. Hurley, Samuel Rush Anderson, Bella Snider also survive.

Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Father Kent Tarpley, with interment to follow in the West End Cemetery.
