Obituary of Shirley Sanders Grubb

Shirley Sanders Grubb, age 83, of Wytheville, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Henry “Grady” & Emma King Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar “Eddie” Brown Grubb; 5 brothers, 1 sister and 2 grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane & Fred Starling of Fayetteville, NC; sons & daughter-in-law, Steven & Maxine Grubb of Max Meadows, Tim Grubb of Wytheville, Troy Grubb of Wytheville; sister, Virginia Sanders Dalrymple of Winder, GA. 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandsons also survive. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by The Reverend Rick Lindamood, with interment to follow in the Rosewood Memorial Cemetery, Rural Retreat, VA. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
