Obituary of John Randolph Munsey

John Randolph Munsey, 49, of Wytheville, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, at his residence. He was a retired police officer for the Department of Defense at Fort A.P Hill. He was the son of the late Isaac (Ike, Sr.) and Jean Munsey and his sister Marsha Munsey Walters. John is survived by his brother Ike Munsey Jr. and wife Tatyana of Salem, Jeff Munsey and wife Kathy of Troutville, and sister Lisa Munsey Boothe and husband Alvin of Roanoke, nephew Ryan Munsey, nieces Marina Munsey, Lacy Harrison (Bryan Jefferson), Nadine Bryant (Kenny), and Gail Johnson (Chad), four great-nieces (Lelia, Eden, Leah and Grace), his life-long friend and very good buddy Tige Bryant of Wytheville, his girlfriend Denise Lorraine Lubert of Pennsylvania and special friend, “Lil Sis” and kidney donor Sabrina Weber, and many loved aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will hold a special memorial service at a later date due to the circumstances of the Coronavirus. Handshakes and hugs will be welcomed at that time.
