John was a great person and was really fun to be with.I enjoyed spending time with him over more than three decades of shared family visits, vacations and holidays. He will be very sorely missed. To my loving wife, Irene Miller, and the whole family, and to all of John's many friends, my deepest sympathy in this time of great pain. I share their grief. Words fail to express our deepest feelings, so I can only send my love to all.

Irene,
So sorry for your loss. It's clear he was an easy going guy who enjoyed the little things and had a kind soul with a great love and compassion for people which made it easy for folks to connect with them immediately. We only regret we didn't get to meet John. We wish you solace and consolation in this difficult time.

Irene , may you have peace knowing you raised a Son that was loved by everyone who met him. Brenda and I always loved when you visited and John just lit up when you were here. He loved you and talked of you often. So glad that you and he was at our annual Christmas dinner this year. He was a brother , friend and family to all of us at that table and more. Danny , Paw Paw and me had the privilege of playing his last round of golf with him on Sunday. We had such a good time and won 4 bucks. He laughed and said it was his first time winning this year. I talked to him the evening before and he was as chipper as ever . Always made my spirit better . He gave me a bear hug everytime he saw me after I returned from on the road. He watched after my family and we all loved him. Also , Jimmy we wish you peace . He was a brother to be proud of. God bless you all . I hope we all will keep his light burning by a smile ,handshake and concern for others he showed us. Rest in peace John Miller.

We are so saddened and disheartened to hear of John's passing. He was such a warm and endearing person to know. He took time to give out hugs and brighten people's day with his caring way. This community is so grieved by his loss. The sun will shine a little less bright with his passing. John left a legacy of great work ethic, loyalty to his friends and staff at the Wytheville Golf Club and love of life! We will always honor his memory. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to his mother Irene and brother Jim. You are in our thoughts and prayers!
Out Deepest Sympathy,
Donna & Chet Anderson
