Obituary of Bobbie "Bob" Ray McLemore

Bobbie “Bob” Ray McLemore, age 77, of Bastian, passed away at his home on August 16, 2016. He was born August 16, 1939 to the late Eurate and Edith McLemore in Iaeger, West Virginia. In 1956 Bob joined the United States Navy and served twenty years before retiring in 1976. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and three sisters. Bob is survived by his wife, Martha McLemore of Bastian; sons & daughters-in-law, Lee & Julia Steffey of Bastian, Brad & Heather Steffey of Bastian, Oble & Ella McLemore of Tennessee; daughters & son-in-law, Crystal & Frank Christie of North Carolina, Nikki Robbins of Princeton, WV; sister, Phyllis Skeens of Michigan; brother & sister-in-law, Dennis & Linda McLemore of Richlands; grandchildren, Morgan Loftin, Jordan McLemore, Austin Jones, Franklin Christie, Catherine Ensign, Rachel Steffey, Garrett Steffey, Scarlett Steffey, Alyvia Robbins, Izabella Robbins, Landon Robbins; special friend and neighbor, Bill Lashley of Bastian; three great-great grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends also survive. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Thursday August 18, 2016 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by, The Reverend Dereck Cowan and The Reverend Paul Looney, with interment to follow in Grandview Memory Gardens Cemetery, Bluefield, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until service time. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
