Obituary of Wade Douglas Rash

Wade Douglas Rash, age 70, of Speedwell passed away at his home Friday August 19, 2016. He was the son of the late Ralph B. Sr. & Lettie Gaye Whalen Rash and was preceded in death by his brothers, David Lee Rash, Troy Lane Rash, Ralph Wayne Rash; nephew Troy “Tobi” Rash. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Gay Brewer Rash of Speedwell; daughter, Tammy Lynn Rash of Speedwell; son & daughter-in-law, Daniel Douglas & Silena Dunford Rash of Camp; granddaughter, Courtney Danielle Rash of Rural Retreat; grandson, Dakota Bronson Rash of Speedwell; sister & brother-in-law, Patsy & Jr. Sayers of Speedwell; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Barbara & Joe Sinclair of Pennsylvania, Janet Rash & Chimer Whalen of South Carolina, Helen & Kermit Osborne of Rural Retreat, Alma & Larry Dunford of Rural Retreat, Doug & Peggy Brewer of Wytheville, Lewis & Ann Brewer of Dublin, Randy & Janie Brewer of Rural Retreat, Doris & Jeff Ratliff of Speedwell; special friends, Steve Vaught of Speedwell, William Hamm Rural Retreat; special caregivers, Bob Stoots of Wytheville, Hospice of Southwest Virginia Staff, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday August 22, 2016 at Sharon Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Ted Anders and Reverend Jack Rutherford, with interment to follow in the Rash Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12noon until service time. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
