So very sorry for your loss of Mr. Stanley. He was always a larger than life presence to me as I grew up in Speedwell and I loved to listen to him auctioneer. He would always talk to you no matter where you were at. He was always a hard worker and loved his family dearly.

I just wanted to offer my condolences to the king family. Stanley was a wonderful person and was always willing to help with advice to a younger auctioneer. i always enjoyed talking with him at VAA conventions, i always left with a great new auction story. My condolences to the King family. Stanley was a tremendous help both to my father, Casey Lacy, and to me. My father thought the world of Stanley and I felt the same way. He helped many, many people in this community and will be missed. I don't think there will be another to match him anytime soon.

Stanley was a giant in the auction industry and a pillar in the Virginia Auctioneers Association. I enjoyed our many chats, and will miss his no nonsense wisdom and humor. In his later years, he would often tell me about the value of family. He also told me to protect my reputation and to always conduct business in a good manner. I will miss him and cherish his memory.

Stanley was an icon and part of the community foundation. He was a man I always respected and who was kind to me and my family. Stanley did a lot for many. Stanley, even in later years was a tireless worker and loved his family and friends. He will be missed and not another like him. May God protect and guide his soul and spirit. My family met Mr. King when we bought our farm on Crawfish Road. I have considered it an honor to have known such a wonderful man. Mr. King shared many memories of his life with me and how much he loved farm country. He gave me support after my husband passed away as well as sharing his birthday gatherings.
I will treasure knowing him and know that God has welcomed him home.
