Obituary of Joseph Earl Wynn
Joseph Earl “Earl” Wynn, age 88 of Wytheville passed away August 25, 2016. He was born in Crockett, VA June 5, 1928. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph E. and Hazel B. Wynn; a special uncle James Brown; two sisters Evelyn Malone and Ethel Roberts. Earl was a long-time member of All Nations Church of God. A US Army Veteran of the Korean War, stationed in West Germany. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #9. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Betsy Sexton Wynn of Wytheville; one daughter and son-in-law Donna W and Mac Harless and his grandson Anthony Harless, the pride and joy of his life, all of Wytheville. One brother William B. Wynn of Rural Retreat; four sisters Helen Bass of Speedwell, Rita Hundley of Crockett, Elizabeth Monahan of Speedwell, Gladys Havens of Crockett and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 4 – 6 p.m. with the service to follow at All Nations Church of God, 1020 Stafford Umberger Drive, Wytheville, VA. conducted by Pastor Chad Dunford and Pastor Harold Bare, Ph.D. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 29, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Rural Retreat, VA, with the American Legion Post #9 conducting military graveside rites. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to All Nations Church of God or the American Heart Association.
