Obituary of Gilbert Walker Jones

Gilbert “Tinker” Walker Jones, age 67, of Wytheville, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Born in Wythe Co. on October 1, 1953 to the late Gilbert Edward & Ethel Lucille Jones. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tatum Rylee Martin. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Doris Blessing Jones of Wytheville; daughters Denna & Steve Meade of Corinth, KY; Bobbie Jo & Philip Martin of Wytheville; brother David & Sandy Jones of Max Meadows; sister Eva & Kevin Jennings of Wytheville, and grandson Eli Martin; several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside service 11 A.M. Wednesday February 3, 2021 at New Bethel Church Cemetery with Pastor Brian Taylor officiating.
