So saddened to hear of Mr. Northrop's passing. My family moved to Forest Ridge Rd. (a few doors down) when I was 10. Shortly after, I was riding my bike in front of the Northrop's house when my bell-bottom pants got stuck the chains. Mr. Northrop must have seen my predicament. I remember him coming out to me to offer assistance. It was then that I learned he had 2 children, Nancy and Doug, who were close to my age.
Mrs. Northrop, Nancy, Doug, and family, may God bless and comfort you during this time of grief.

I will miss Dick's ready smile and greeting at church every morning, which he so cheerfully offered me. I am also thankful for the help he gave our struggling little Christian school, Grace Christian Academy, in Max Meadow's, VA where he served as our treasurer. He kept us informed and we knew we could rely on him. We love you, Nini, and I can't tell you how much I will miss you at our Bible study at Diane's. We three had three great months together sharing, laughing, sipping hot tea and studying God's word. May the Lord be with you, guide you and bless you and your family.
With all my love in Christ,
Mrs. Northrop: We have enjoyed getting to know you and Mr. Northrop the last six years as neighbors. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and may your precious memories give you much peace and many smiles! God bless you! Tony, LaMoore and Lindsay Linkous
