Obituary of Katherine Hall Corvin

Katherine Hall Corvin, age 81, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She was daughter of the late Robert Monroe and Effie Parks Hall and was preceded in death by her husband, James “Steve” Corvin; daughter, Betty Woods, sons; Samuel Corvin; granddaughter, Jessie Remines. She is survived by her daughters & son-in-law, Blanche & Kenneth Stroupe of Wytheville, Nancy C. Stroupe of Rural Retreat; son & daughters-in-law, Franklin & Carleen Woods of Georgia, Rhonda Corvin of Wytheville; sisters, Alice Foster of Alpharetta, Ga., Clara Puckett of Cummings, Ga.; grandchildren, Betty Tate & Wes, David Stroupe, Jennifer & Randy Dunford, Chris Stroupe & Brandi Shupe, James & Caitlin Stroupe, Beth Remines, Samuel & Kelly Corvin; great grandchildren, Frankie Woods, Matthew Woods, Stevi & Michael Stephens, Dakota Tate, Shyanne Tate +1, Braden Remines, Adeline Stroupe, Larry Shupe, Burt Tate; great-great granddaughter, Jacie Satterfield; several special nieces, nephews & special “adopted” children also survive. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday October 2, 2016, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Pastor Roger Crigger, with interment to follow in the New Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 Noon until service time. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
