My Granddaddy taught me a lot without actually teaching me, just leading by example.
He was the biggest presence in any room and never had to say a word. He didn't talk a whole lot but when he spoke, I listened. We all listened.
I always wanted him to be proud of me, always feared him being disappointed in me. He was the first person to pay me for A's on my report card so I always took him my report cards!
He was so kind, so respectful, so intelligent and so humble.
He only got to meet his great granddaughters once but I hope he was proud of the mother I became. I know he loved these little girls!
I will miss him terribly, but I am so happy he is finally back with his true love. May their eternal love and legacy last forever...
