Obituary of Hildred Eugene Young

Hildred Eugene “Gene” Young, age 75, of Silver Spring, MD., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. He was born in Indian Head, MD, April 27, 1945, the son of the late Joseph and Beulah Young. He was preceded in death by other sisters and brothers. Gene graduated from Montgomery Blair High School. Afterwards he enlisted in the Coast Guard where he received many honors, one was to be on the John F. Kennedy Honor Guard. He worked for Western Electric as a lineman and faithful member of the community of Wytheville, especially AA of Wythe County where he held an important office while attending. He had many friends and relatives that will miss him. He is survived by his daughters, Kriston Young (Jay) of Greenbelt, MD; Rana J Young Barnes (Earnest) of Wytheville; Jeneen Young McCoy (Leandre) of Waldorf, MD; sisters and brothers, grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
