Obituary of Frances Ann Lineberry Umberger

Frances Ann Lineberry Umberger, 66, of Wytheville, passed away at her home Monday, May 17th. She was born May 1, 1955, in Wytheville, VA, to Mary M. Lineberry. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Michelle Charles, and husband, Dean. Mary Denise Cook and her husband, Rolland. Two grandsons, Tyler Heafner and Stephen Pauley (Alley Tickle). One sister, Rochella Kennedy, and husband, Walter (Buster), and special niece Stephanie Story. A special aunt, and best friend, Martha Tate. Several cousins also survive. She was a wonderful mother who loved to cook. She never met a stranger, and you never left her house hungry. She loved to read her Bible and talk with her friends. She loved her cat, Moses. She was always making people laugh and willing to do anything to help out a person in need. She loved to take long road trips and tell stories about her upbringing. The visitation is from 1 pm to 2 pm on Sunday, May 23, 2021, with the service starting immediately afterward at 2 pm.
