Obituary of Evelyn Fontaine Arnold

Evelyn Fontaine Arnold, age 92, of Wytheville, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Edward & Atha Wyrick Umberger. Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter S. Fontaine and her second husband, Everett L. Arnold. She is survived by her daughter & sons-in-law, Barbara & Bill Weaver of Marion, son & daughter-in-law, Mark & Debbie Fontaine of Wytheville; daughter & son-in-law, Lynn & Robbie Williams of Wytheville; grandchildren, Ben Weaver, Matt Weaver, Brad Fontaine, Lyndsey Witt, Zayne Williams; 7 great grandchildren also survive. The family would like to express thanks to the staff of Francis Marion Manor and Smyth County Community Hospital for the Special care she received. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. A memorial service will be held 6 PM Saturday, July 24, 2021 at All Nations Church of God, Wytheville, Va, conducted by Pastor Chad Dunford, Pastor Roger Crigger, Pastor Alan Gray. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 4 PM until service time.
