Obituary of Kahle William "K.W." King, Jr.

Kahle William (K.W.) King, Jr., 77, of Crockett, passed into the arms of his Savior on Friday, July 16, 2021, at home after a blessed life with his wife of 57 years, Ann Buckley King. He was surrounded by his family. Born April 17, 1944, in Crockett, VA, he was the son of the late Kahle William, Sr. and Hazel Vaught King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Helen Epperly, and two brothers, Harold King and Donald King. K.W. was a graduate of Rural Retreat High School, Class of 1964. He was a member of King’s Grove United Methodist Church, Mount Airy Lodge #226 A.F. & A.M., and the Knights Templar. He is survived by his wife Ann; two sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Ty King of Wytheville and Bryan and Sarah King of Collegeville, PA; four beloved grandchildren, Ellie King of Berkeley, CA, Emmie King of Abingdon, VA, Jedidiah King and Marlayna King of Collegeville, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Betty King; two sisters, Josephine Bralley and Anne Clark; sister-in-law, Doris King and numerous nieces, nephews and special family friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 19, 2021, 10:00 am, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in King’s Grove Cemetery, Crockett, with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 18, 2021, or at his home any time.
