Obituary of Fred Leon Martin, Sr.
Fred Leon Martin, Sr., age 69 of Chilhowie, passed away Friday October 14, 2016. He was the son of the late Neal & Annabell Taylor Martin and was preceded in death by his wife Frances Joanne Martin. He is survived by his daughter and spouse, Lisa & Jerry Minnick of Dublin; son, Fred L. Martin, Jr. of Cayman Islands; sister and spouse, Peggy “PJ” & William Keen of Chilhowie; special friends, Karla Robinson, James Woods both of Chilhowie; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 5 step-children also survive.
Funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by The Reverend Lee Sarver, with interment to follow in the West End Cemetery.In lieu of the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society o/c Jean Lester, 240 College Park Drive, Wytheville,Virginia 24382.Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
