Obituary of Frances Pearl Morehead Crockett

Frances Pearl Morehead Crockett, age 95, of Wytheville, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was the daughter of the late William B. & Cora Ellen Steffey Morehead. Frances was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the VA State Lodge #1 Rebekah’s. She along with her husband Robert was former part owners of Mick or Mack and Pen Bob’s Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Crockett; sisters, Ethel Morehead Dickens, Jean M. Morehead, Alice M. Mustard; brothers, Andrew Morehead, Frank L. Morehead, Gilbert Morehead, Paul Morehead, James Morehead. She is survived by her sister, Opal M. & James E. Strouse of Fairfax, VA; nephew and caretaker, Gary M. Morehead of Wytheville; several other nieces & nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Tuesday August 31, 2021 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Lon Tobin, with entombment to follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Rural Retreat. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 P.M. until service time.
