Obituary of Charles Edwin Sexton
Charles Edwin “Pete” Sexton 70 of Max Meadows went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening August the 25th 2021. Pete was born on May the 8th in 1951 in Wytheville Virginia. Pete was retired from Utility Trailer in Atkins Virginia and worked many years for Pendelton Construction. Pete was a gifted mechanic and musician. He was a 1969 graduate of Rural Retreat High School. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Lolly Sexton, his brother Rickey Sexton, his brother Jimmy Sexton, and his sister Susan Sexton.
Pete is survived by his wife Sharon Sexton of Max Meadows, his daughter Misty L. Sexton of Wytheville, his sons Charles D. Sexton of Marion, and his son Michael L. Sexton of Wytheville, his sister Ginger Sexton Cornett of Wytheville, his sister Debbie Hancock of Garner NC, his sister Becky Sarkijarvi of Wytheville, his sister and brother-in-law Nancy Sexton and Lewis Stroup of Wytheville, and his sister Toni Sexton of Wytheville. Pete is also survived by his grandchildren Katilynn Sexton of Wytheville, Christopher Sexton of Marion, and Emma Sexton of Marion and his multiple nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Monday August 30th from 5pm to 7pm with the funeral service following the viewing at Grubbs Funeral Home and a private graveside service for the family will be held at Rosenbaum Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
