Obituary of Zareda Dillow Ward

Zareda Dillow Ward passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Zareda was the daughter of the late David Harold and Janie Morehead Dillow. She was born in Bland County on February 28,1948 and graduated from Bland High School and Wytheville Community College. Zareda was employed by Emerson Electric at the Alco plant in Wytheville for over 35 years. She was a past member of the Bland County Rescue Squad Auxiliary and the Wythe County Community Hospital Auxiliary and she served on the Wytheville Redevelopment and Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners, and she attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Zareda was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Doris Dillow. She is survived by her brother, David Dillow and his wife Andrea, her sisters, Marie Lambert, and husband, David, and Debbie Clark and husband, Dale. Zareda especially loved her four nephews, two nieces and nine great nephews, four great nieces, three great, great nephews and two great, great nieces. She is also survived by ten cousins. A graveside service will be conducted 11 AM Monday, October 18, 2021 at Temple Hill Cemetery in Bland with her nephew, Pastor Barry Dillow officiating.
