Obituary of Cecile Mae Kincer

Cecile “Curly” Mae Cregger Kincer, 92, of Greasy Creek near Wytheville, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 22,2021. She was born on February 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Neva Bircha Blessing Cregger and Arthur Cregger. Curly graduated from Rural Retreat High School. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Kincer, and daughter Patsy in the polio epidemic of 1950. Curly later married Clyde Kincer who passed in 1985. Curly is survived by her son, Dennis (Gail) Kincer of Charleston WV; grandchildren Holly (Keith) Persinger of Clendenin WV, Robin Copley of Charleston WV; Kevin (Ronda) Kincer of Waynesburg PA; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Edna “Bett” Peak, Shirley “Pee Wee” Kegley (Peyton); sisters-in-law Cledith Akers, Nancy King, Anne Cregger; and many treasured nieces, nephews and cousins. Curly was preceded in death by her sisters Della “Bean,” Helen and brothers James “Jamie,” Everett “Tunt,” Arthur “Oss,” Garnett “Poage,” and French “Rusty.” She was a member of the Wytheville First Assembly of God church and spent many years hand-milking dairy cows, raising gardens, tending flower beds, and spending time with family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Grubb Funeral Home on Monday at 7pm with visitation from 6-7 pm. Graveside service will be on Tuesday at 10am at Mt. Ephraim Church Cemetery.
