Obituary of Kenneth Prince

Kenneth Prince died peacefully on January 23, 2022, in Abingdon, Virginia. Born March 24, 1924, in Port Arthur, Texas, he spent most of his life in Birmingham, Alabama and enjoyed being self-employed as a building contractor. Kenneth was a WWII veteran, completing 25 bombing missions over Germany while serving in the Army Air Force. He and his wife Jo, (1925-2016) moved too Wytheville in 1995 to be closer to their only child. At 72 years of age, he helped build his home in Wytheville and was able to live there until the last 3 months of his life. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Becky & Hal Absher of Wytheville; 4 sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Prince, Jane Atchison, Peggy Eady, Ruth Leath and several nieces, nephews, and their families. A special thanks to his long-time caregiver, Jodi Hatfield, special friends, Sonny and Teresa Turner and Hospice of Southwest Virginia your love and support was outstanding.
