Obituary of Velva Mae Patton Henegar

Velva Mae Patton Henegar, age 77, passed away Tuesday February 15, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Stewart Repass & Elizabeth Hackler Patton. Velva was a member of the Grahams Forge United Methodist Church and was a former member of West End United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James E. Henegar, Sr.; sons & daughters-in-law, James & Kerrie Henegar of Radford, Timothy Odell & Erica Henegar of Blacksburg; grandson, Keagan James Henegar of Radford; sister & brother-in-law, Elva Gray & Lewis Jackson of Reidsville, NC; nieces, Melissa Potter of Reidsville, NC, Elizabeth Reese of Grand Junction, CO, aunts, Cora Smith of Clyde, OH; Juanita Hackler of Blountville, TN; several cousins also survive. She will be especially missed by her beloved dog, Heidi. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Ray Bolen, with interment to follow in Mt. Pleasant Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home Saturday from 12 noon until service time.
