Obituary of Wanda Frank Brinkley
Wanda Frank Brinkley, 76 of Crockett passed away, April 3, 2022, peacefully with care of hospice. Passing before her was her mother, Ruby Brown and a sister Shirley Schuster. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James J. Brinkley. Her daughter Rhonda Brinkley Cox of Crockett. Her grandchildren, Meagan Robinson (Brandon) of Crockett, Jay Cox (Janet) of Crockett. Her great grandchildren, Warren, Brayden, Tanner, Connor and Sylar. Also surviving is her sister Lojean Moore (John) of Reidsville, North Carolina.
Wanda will be remembered as a great entrepreneur with her husband of Brinkley Plumbing and Heating (36 years) and Sugar Run Farm for her love of Simmental cattle and for her love of cooking, never letting anyone leave her home without sampling something she had cooked. She loved her family and gave to everyone before herself. She was also blessed to have great neighbors over her lifetime.
Family would like to thank Jennifer Tarter and her nurse Dorothy at Carilion Family Medicine and any other caregivers who have given her care.
