Obituary of William David Banes

William David “Billy” Banes, age 85, of Little Creek, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016. He was the son of the late Joe and Lucreasy Carver Banes. Billy was United States Army Veteran and was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Banes; brother, Wilbur Banes. He is survived by his wife, Betty Estep Banes; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell & Shelia Banes; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn & Thomas Millirons, Darlene & Jerry Andrews, Jane & Kelsey Duncan, Lynn & Tommy Ratcliffe; sister and brother-in-law, Edith Virgie & Fred Rope; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgar & Dalphine Banes, Ernest & Dolly Banes; grandchildren, Jerry W. Andrews, Tonya & Brian Gravley, Amanda & Jonathan Moxley, April Duncan, Bradley & Laura Duncan, Ryan & Summer Duncan; 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Pastor Linda Hale, with interment to follow in Goshen Cemetery, Little Creek, Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 P.M. until service time. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
