Obituary of Richard Kirkland Gibson

Richard Kirkland Gibson, age 72, of Wytheville, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at his home. He was the son of the late Richard Summerfield & Virginia Kirkland Gibson. Kirk was a 1968 Graduate of Richlands High School, and he retired from a long career as Director of Radiology at Wythe County Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Anita Gibson; daughter, Kathryn Gibson of Charolette, NC.; sister, Gail Gose of Johnson City, TN. A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Friday, August 19, 2022, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Roland Matthews.
