Obituary of Casey Brooks Smelser

Casey Brooks Smelser age 63, of Wytheville, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022. He was born in Wythe County on July 2, 1959 to the late Homer Daniel and Nellie “Peggy” Webb Smelser. He was preceded in death by two brothers Perry and Danny Smelser. Survivors include his wife, GiGi Smelser of Wytheville; daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Eddie Earhart of Wytheville; two sons, Luke and Adam Smelser of Wytheville; five grandchildren, Leithan Smelser, Blake Earhart, Waylon Earhart, Aliannah Parrish and Abigail Chisum; two great grandchildren, Eela Smelser and Jhett Freeman; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Craig Groseclose of Cripple Creek; nephew, Nathan Groseclose of Cripple Creek, sister-in-law, Frances Smelser of Wytheville. A Graveside service will be held 11 A.M., Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Galilee Christian Church Cemetery conducted by The Reverend Preston Sartelle. There will be no visitation.
