Obituary of Vernie Blevins Williams

Vernie Blevins Williams, 95, of Cripple Creek went home on Sunday October 30, 2022. She passed peacefully surrounded by family and was met at the gates of Heaven by those who went before including her father and mother, Charlie Elbert and Bertie Stoots Blevins, stepmother Nellie Jennings Blevins, her husband of 54 years, Robert R. Williams, and 8 brothers and their wives; Jeffrey and Della Blevins, Harlow & Stella Blevins, Howard Blevins, Homer and Mildred Blevins, Hubert and Jean Blevins, Emmett “Limbo” and Hilda Blevins, Starling Jennings, and Luther & “Liz” Jennings, by her beloved sister, Grace Jennings Porter and a granddaughter, Amanda Ann Jarvis, and son-in-law Alan W. Everhart. She is survived by her daughters Willie Karen Everhart and Kathryn Williams Bishof and her husband Paul, three grandchildren, Cassa Jarvis Draper and husband David, Matthew Bishof, and Evan Bishof, 2 great grandchildren, Kylee Jarvis and Zachary Draper and many, many well-loved nephews and nieces with special mention of Samuel R. Blevins. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, at 11AM at St Peters Cemetery in Cripple Creek, Va, conducted by Reverend Doug Stuart. Family and friends are welcome at the home of Vernie following the graveside.
