Obituary of Ronnie Lee Akers

Ronnie Lee Akers age 59, of Rural Retreat, passed away on January 13, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1963 in Pulaski County to the late James Eldridge, Sr. and Gracie Ellen Lane Akers. He survived by his two sons, William Allen Akers of Pearisburg; William Allen Atkins; sister, Lucy Jones of Rural Retreat; brother, James Eldridge Akers, Jr. of Hillsville; special nephew, Jason Akers and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Grubb Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Bell officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Rural Retreat. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
