Frederick Webber

Obituary of Frederick Bruce Webber

Frederick (Eric) Bruce Webber died on February 2, 2023. He was born in Washington DC on October 15, 1947, to Frederick and Elinor Webber (both predeceased). Eric was retired from the U.S. Air Force and felt it was an honor and privilege to serve his country for 26 years. He was well travelled internationally, and stateside, Eric was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Eric would often say that his greatest accomplishment was in 2000 when he married Terri Lockhart, they shared 22 years and 6 months of heated political debates, antique hunting, traveling, and long talks into late evenings. He was also proud and loved deeply his sisters Vicki Mullins (Darrell) of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Jennifer Flint (Tom) of Naples, Florida. He had many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in Virginia, Pennsylvania and across the country. He loved them all and cherished his kinship to them. Eric was also blessed, he once said, by 4 sisters-in- law and three brothers-in-law from Terri’s family. Eric was also predeceased by his younger brother David Webber of Vienna, Virginia whom he always loved. Terri would like to thank most specifically her brother-in-law Tom Klatka who sat with Eric many afternoons and evenings during his hospitalizations and brought an abundance of comfort to him during those hard times. There will be a memorial service for Eric in late April of this year, with details yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to enCircle (www.enCircleall.org), a Virginia agency that Eric actively supported and whose mission is to change the lives of children and adults in our communities across Virginia. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
