May God comfort the family during this time. There was not one game at RHS Basketball that Mr. Cormany was not there cheering on the Bobcats and supporting his son. What great memories are left behind. Prayers for the family.
So sorry to here about Derl. He made such a huge impact on my life. One day at the Dodge dealership where he and my father worked together he convinced me not to quit little league baseball and instead allow him to move me to his team. I didn't know it at the time but that is a big sacrifice to bring a really bad player in that takes up playing time. Anyway I worked hard and with Derl's coaching I ended up catching the last out in right field to end the season with a win surprising everyone including myself. I played baseball for many years after that day but more importantly that moment in 1980 gave me a mind set that I could overcome anything that I set my mind to. That's a pretty great gift to give someone.
Dear Cormany Family,
We were deeply saddened to hear that Derl had passed. May your fond memories and the precious resurrection hope provide you with a measure of comfort at this difficult time. We all look forward to the fulfillment of this promise found at Revelation 21:4 “ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” Please be assured that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
