I’m going to miss my dear friend Velma.
On her birthday wish to her just the day before God called her home she told me that she told her sister Carolyn (Tiny) that it was depressing that she was getting old and I told her it’s hard to believe we’re getting older and we were blessed by God to be getting older. I told her that I love her and she told me that she loves me. Then on Friday evening I got the sad news that God called her home and it broke my heart. She was good to me and my family, she was like a second Mom to my youngest daughter, she was our beautician for many years, and my husband was her live model when she passed her test for barber certification, She never lost her faith in God no matter what she faced in life. I know she was so happy to see Jesus, her baby boy Jaron Cody, and all those others. Now she won’t have to worry about getting older, being in pain, or anything else. Until we meet again my dear friend.
