Linda and I certainly will miss Doris. She was a wonderful person-one of God's gifts to everyone who knew her sweet kindnesses! Doris was a dear friend and great & fantastic mentor to me and many others. I remember the first time I was finally comfortable starting IV’s and I couldn’t wait to tell her. We were able to travel many places together but the best trip was the one to Hawaii. I regret that we didn’t spend more time together after we retired but the grandkids became so involved in sports and other activities that it consumed a lot of my time. It did not affect the Love I have for Doris and Charlie Bill and the fact that I missed spending more time with them. I remember her getting her Sunday School lesson together and thinking what a wonderful teacher she would be. She was always a lady in the true sense of the word and will be missed by so many of her family and friends. I know she is with our Lord and Savior and wish her God Speed till we meet again.

I am so sorry for your loss. It seems that all the Hospital crew feels that loss whole heartedly. She was a rose in a bunch of thorns. I for one was the worst patients she and Mary McGavock ever had, when it come to me having babies. She was one of a kind nurse. She never said a harm word of anybody. I love her and will miss her. Prayers for peace and comfort. Doris was a gift from GOD.

Our deepest sympathy is sent to Charlie Bill and the family. I’ve known this wonderful family throughout my life and feel privileged to have worked with her at WCCH.
She was a special friend to so many, a Christian lady, and a loving nurse who touched lives with the professional care she provided.
I treasure the precious memories I have of Doris, and I feel privileged to have known this kind loving lady.
God has blessed us and now has gained another angel.
