Joyce and family,
Shirley and I were saddened to hear of Darrell's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Darrell, you and family. Darrell and I were in FFA at GWHS and I know of his love for farming. Our condolences to the Layne family. We met Darrell a few times and each time we talked to him he would talk to us as if he had known us for years. I can tell that was just the kind of person he was, never met a stranger!

I'm so terribly sorry for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, and brother. My husband and I had only met Darrell a few times and he was so kind. Both Billy and I always thought a lot of Darryl.

So many wonderful memories of my Uncle Darrell. Spent summers with him and my grandparents, Kyle and Ethel, He put us to work everyday cutting thistles, throwing hay bales, scooping the cattle holding pen, spraying down the barn floor after milking cows but always took good care of us and showed us a good time. My heart aches to see him gone so soon. Sure gonna miss him but I know he is running the "Heavenly Layne Hill Dairy Farm" and rejoicing with his mom and dad and our Heavenly Father who has prepared a place for all that believe and accept Him as Lord and Savior. Rest in Peace Uncle Darrell and I'll join you one day - maybe even on a John Deere. I love you always, Teresa
